SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:
The strong absorption edge centered about 0.58 microns gives this brick its medium red color. An absorption at 0.89 microns suggest hematite is the main pigment. Absorptions at 1.4 microns and between 2.2 and 2.3 microns suggest the presence of OH bearing phases. G. Swayze.
