SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:
This pigment has a strong electronic absorption edge centered at 0.41 microns where reflectance drops from 60% to nearly 3%. The NIR has four absorptions at 1.388, 1.425, 1.882, and 1.928 microns likely to be related to absorbed water and trace impurities. The 2-micron region also has a very weak absorption complex composed of several sharp absorptions that may indicate contamination by organics at trace levels (continuum removed positions). G. Swayze
