SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:
This pigment has a strong reflectance peak centered at 0.46 microns and a broad nearly flat bottomed absorption complex that stretches from 0.46 to 1.0 microns centered at 0.68 microns. Positions of absorptions and number of absorptions in absorption complexes with overlapping bands are approximate, and would require deconvolution to determine the actual number and position of absorptions. Numerous vibrational absorptions dominate the NIR portion of the spectrum. Individual absorptions are centered at: 0.929, 1.024, 1.106, 1.679, 1.775, 1.832, 2.148, 2.211, 2.270, 2.274, 2.345, 2.378, 2.416, and 2.468 microns (continuum removed positions). G. Swayze
