SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:

Electronic portion of spectrum is dominated by strong jarosite Fe-absorptions while the vibrational portion of the spectrum is dominated by muscovite features. The 2.2116 micron muscovite band forms a doublet with the 2.2662 micron jarosite band. The jarosite was probably produced by supergene weathering of sparse pyrite from in the muscovite phyllite by the hydrothermal alteration.
