SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:
The spectrum has a weak absorption at 0.97 microns and much stronger absorptions at 1.42 and 1.93 microns. There is also a weak absorption at 2.32 microns. These absorptions may be OH related. The spectrum apparently lacks detectable f-f transition absorptions present in spectra of other Lanthanide series elements over the 0.35 to 2.5 micron wavelength range at the spectral resolution of the ASD spectrometer.
