SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:

The spectrum has a reflectance peak at 0.48 microns and strong absorption at 0.53 microns that when combined with the absorption edge centered at 0.58 microns creates the "pink" color of the sample. There are a series of weak absorptions starting at 1.4 microns and occurring out to at least 2.5 microns (the upper range of the spectrometer) that may be related to OH or organic vibrations. G. Swayze.
