SPECTROSCOPIC_DISCUSSION:
This pigment has a strong absorption edge centered at about 0.53 microns where reflectance drops from nearly 65% to 1% in a broad visible absorption centered at 0.471 microns. The NIR has many diagnostic vibrations forming a series of sharp absorptions of variable strength. There are five main regions of with vibrational complexes centered at 1.14, 1.37, 1.67, 2.16, and 2.26 microns. Individual absorptions are centered at: 1.115, 1.140, 1.182, 1.350, 1.394, 1.423, 1.448, 1.642, 1.682, 1.723, 1.786, 1.834, 1.883, 2.140, 2.261, 2.332, 2.372, 2.388, 2.414, and 2.451 microns (continuum removed positions).
