COLLECTION_LOCALITY: Boulder, Colorado
ORIGINAL_DONOR: Raymond Kokaly
SAMPLE_DESCRIPTION:
Reflectance measurements of the top surface of a yellow-green leaf (the leaf was mostly yellow but with occasional green spots) from a quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) tree. The single leaf was measured on a black (nearly 0% reflectance) background. The leaf was cut from a tree and stored in a plastic bag two hours prior to measurement. The spectrometer head (bare fiber optic) was held approximately 3 cm from the leaf surface and moved around the area of the leaf as spectra were recorded. This average reflectance was computed from 12 recorded spectra.
