Geophysics of the Rio Grande Basins
Cochiti Survey Area
|Survey Map||All Aeromagnetic Data|
A combined airborne time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) and magnetic survey was flown over Pueblo de Cochiti and vicinity in March, 1997 by Geoterrex, Inc. on contract to the U.S. Geological Survey. Flight lines were flown east-west, 400-meters apart, and at a nominal 100-meters plane height above ground (except over developed areas where the plane flew 150-meters above ground). The EM bird and magnetometer were towed 50-meters and 45-meters, respectively, below the plane. More information about the TDEM data and the aeromagnetic data for this survey is contained in U. S. Geological Survey Open-File Reports 00-502 and 99-404, respectively. Flight-line data are available from U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 02-361 (survey #4194).
