Hyperspectral Investigations for Environmental Applications

Project Objectives

Large hyperspectral data sets require detailed processing to ensure maximum utility for resource and environmental evaluations and assessments. As datasets become available in geographic areas where it is difficult or impossible to complete field observations, the development of new methods for calibrating these data are essential. This project supported the development of computer algorithms to support the calibration of large hyperspectral datasets. This project supported the analysis of the georectified and radiometrically corrected data as well as product development and interpretative packages for external distribution.
