A high-resolution aeromagnetic survey was flown over this area in November, 1998 by Sander Geophysics, Ltd. on contract to the U. S. Geological Survey. The survey covers the southern Middle Rio Grande basin from just north of Belen to Bernardo on the south. Flight lines were flown east-west, 150-m apart, and at a nominal 150-m height above ground. More information about the aeromagnetic data for this survey is contained in U. S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 99-404. Open-File Report 99-404 is a compact disc containing digital images and grids in various formats, flight-line data, and a report describing the survey acquisition of the magnetic data in more detail.
