Education

Interests

Petrogenesis of Cenozoic magmatism in the North American Cordillera and Himalaya

Experience

My background is in petrography, igneous petrology, and the field relationships of igneous rocks. Specifically, I am interested in the origin and evolution of intermediate and silicic magmas in areas of thick continental crust.

Current Activities

Currently I work in the Denver argon geochronology lab assisting with a variety of projects that examine the geology of Afghanistan. These projects include:

  1. Re-mapping the geology of Afghanistan
  2. Characterizing the geology of gemstone deposits in Afghanistan
  3. Determining 40/39Ar ages of igneous and metamorphic rocks from Afghanistan
